One-on-One Appointments

Sometimes you might have questions or information needs that require extra time and attention. To get personalized assistance with a library resource or service, you can sign up for a 30 to 60-minute session with a Clark County Public Library Librarian.

A staff member will respond to your request within two business days to arrange your session. If you need immediate assistance, please call the Reference Department at (937) 328-6903.

Technology Assistance Appointment Policy*

Eligibility: Patrons must be 18 or older and have a CCPL library card in good standing.

Scope of Assistance: Library staff provide guidance on the basics of using devices and software, including tasks such as email operations, navigating eReaders, and using library resources. Staff cannot perform tasks such as typing, researching, device setup, resume writing, or troubleshooting hardware/software issues for the patron.

Language: Services are currently offered in English only.

Device Requirements: Patrons must bring their own device, fully charged or with a charger, and have any necessary passwords for the session.

Session Details: Appointments are 30-60 minutes long and limited to one session per week. If you are running late, please notify staff by calling (937) 328-6903. To ensure efficient use of library staff time, appointments will be cancelled if patrons arrive more than 15 minutes late without prior notice.

Cancellations: Please notify the library at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend. Repeated no-shows may result in limited future bookings.

Privacy: Library staff cannot enter sensitive personal information (e.g., passwords, credit card numbers) on behalf of patrons.

Denial of Service: Library staff may decline requests that fall outside the scope of our stated responsibilities or expertise.
