Homebound Delivery + Classroom Delivery
What is Homebound Service?
This service gives Clark County Public Library patrons access to library materials when they are unable to visit the library due to health restrictions or disabilities. Patrons who sign up for this service will have library materials delivered directly to their door by our friendly library staff, or can have their items mailed to them (if they qualify).
Who Can Participate?
Patrons who are unable to leave their place of residence and have a Clark County Public Library Card in good standing.
What Can I Borrow?
You may borrow most things that the library offers (except Express DVDs, video games, framed art, or items that are currently on a waiting list). You may have up to 15 items at a time.
How Does it Work?
You provide us with your preferences, such as certain authors or subjects, and we will select items to bring to your door. You may borrow the items for four weeks. At the end of the loan period, we will return to exchange the items.
How Do I Sign Up?
Sign-up is ongoing throughout the year. You can sign up for this service by calling (937) 322-2821 or download the Homebound Application here.
If nobody is available to answer your call, please leave a message on our voicemail with your name, a phone number where we can reach you, and that you are interested in the Homebound Service. Someone will get back with you as soon as possible. If you do not have a library card, we can arrange for you to apply for one.
How to Request Materials for the Library to Purchase for Bookmobile and Homebound Patrons?
Please fill out and return our Patron Material Request Form.
What Are My Options While I’m Waiting?
If you have a library card you can also download digital materials for your computer or device through The Ohio Digital Library, RBdigital Magazine Collection, or Hoopla Digital.
You may also contact the library at (937) 322-2821 to sign up for the Talking Book program. This program provides free books, magazines and playback equipment and is funded by the State Library of Ohio.
How do I request Materials to be Delivered to my Classroom?
If you have a library card and you have scheduled the bookmobile to visit your classroom/school, you can sign-up for this service by calling (937) 322-2821 or download the Teacher Classroom Request here. Please have all requests submitted at least 1 week prior to schedule delivery to ensure time to collect the requested items. Failure to submit requests in a timely manner may result in an incomplete order being delivered.
