Join us for an introduction to yoga with instructor Tammy Lake from Kai Yoga Studio in Fairborn. Adults with mobility issues may participate as all poses can be modified. Please see the descriptions below for what will be happening at each class. Limited to 18 participants. Call (937) 864-2502 to register.
*All body types and all abilities are welcomed.
*Wear comfortable clothes.
*Bring a yoga mat if you have one, but not required.
*Attendance at all four sessions not required, but beneficial.
*Pre-registration preferred. Drop-ins are welcomed, if space is available.
Week 1 - Gentle Hatha
Audience: Beginners/No experience
Hatha yoga refers to a sequence of poses designed to align your skin, muscles, and bones. Attention to the breath, focused movement and emphasis on intention are part of the yoga class.

Week 2 - Chair Yoga
Audience: Beginners/No experience/Limited mobility
Chair yoga is an extension of the gentle Hatha yoga class, practiced while sitting in a chair rather than on the mat. The same sequences and focuses apply to this practice.

Week 3 - Gentle Hatha (see week 1 description)

Week 4 - Yin Yoga
Audience: Beginners/No experience
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga in which poses are held for longer periods of time. It promotes flexibility and strengthens your joints by applying moderate stress to the connective tissue while increasing circulation.
